At GME Supply we specialize in helping tree care professionals stay safe and increase efficiency on the job. Whether you are looking for pulleys, PPE, rope devices, rope and hitch cords, saws, harnesses, helmets, positioning equipment or tool tethers our Gear Experts® are here to help you find the equipment you need when you need it.

When working in the tree care industry pulleys can serve a range of different purposes for arborists. The type of pulley that will work for you depends on what the job requires, but a few things to keep in mind when selecting a pulley are: weight, max rope size, sheave, whether it has progress capture capabilities or not, single vs. double, and size. Pulleys come in a range of different styles. Looking for a compact pulley from Petzl or a swivel pulley from Rock Exotica? We’ve got all of that and more.

As a tree care professional there is no doubt that you will be using chainsaws on a daily basis. Keeping you safe while on the job is a priority here at GME Supply and that’s why we have a full selection of personal protective equipment made especially for arborists. Our line of Elvex Chainsaw Protection gear will have you ready to go in no time. From leg and hand protection to body vest protection we’ve got the gear you need to stay safe on the job.

Whether you need an ascender, backup fall arrester, throw bag, rigging plate, termination plate, descender, rope grab, foot ascender, or swivel, we’ve got your back. Check out our full selection from manufacturers like Petzl, Sterling Rope, Rock Exotica, ISC, and more.

Rope and Hitch Cords

When it comes to the tree care industry your rope is literally your lifeline. Not only does rope protect you from falling, but it can also be used for other applications. As an arborist, the possibilities with rope are nearly endless. Our selection of rope and hitch cords provides nearly every kind of rope you’d need. From flipline and throw-line to prusiks (hitch cord) we’ve got the gear to help you get the job done and stay safe.

When it comes to working in the tree care industry, a saw is pretty much a requirement. Whether you are needing to prune or handle larger limbs, GME Supply’s saw collection has got you covered so you can get the job done. Our selection of arborist saws from Silky will have you up and running in no time. From handheld saws to saws that attach to a pole so you can get into those hard to reach places, we’ve got just the saw for you. We also carry a range of saw blade replacements so you can get back to the job as quickly as possible.

Spending all day climbing trees is no easy job. But, having a comfortable harness can help make the job a little easier. As a tree care professional the harness you choose is one of the most important parts of your gear setup. It is the axis of all of your gear. Our selection of arborist harnesses includes brands like Petzl and Skylotec and include padded leg and back supports, multiple D-rings and connection loops, and shoulder straps. Things to look for when choosing your harness are the padding available. Being in a harness all day doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. With the right style of padding on the back and leg supports you can almost feel like you don’t even have a harness on. Other things to consider are D-rings, connection points, and shoulder straps. Depending on the type of work you plan on doing you may need additional support from a shoulder strap or additional connection points for all of your gear.
