  • The moving side-plate can be locked shut with a screw, allowing the I’D S to be integrated into evacuation kits

Great Device
  • The I'D works just as it should. Let's me descend quickly and with great control. Finding the "Sweet Spot" on the device takes a little bit, but once you get the hang of it you can get down the rope really fast. Anti-panic makes sure you don't go too fast.

There is a slight learning curve to installing the rope, but the diagram on the device gives good direction.
  • Smooth, works well.

Handy descender
  • It's Petzl so it just works. Smooth descent, easy loading, functional for more that just descent and user friendly. I've tried other descenders and just didn't care for how they performed compared to the ID.
