The CommScope EASIAX PLUS Automated Cable Preparation Tool is designed for preparing cables for connector attachments.  This EASIAX PLUS Cable Prep Tools are designed to attach to a drill and quickly cut the cable jacket, outer conductor, and foam in one operation. Cutting is complete when spring-loaded ball bearings of the tool roll into a corrugation valley of the outer conductor. The tool cuts the cable jacket, outer conductor, and foam, and tapers the inner conductor in one operation. The uniform cut across the corrugations and tapering of the inner conductor ensure accurate and easy fitting of the connector. The four cutting blades provide approximately 150 cuts and can be interchanged between slots to provide even more cuts. They are easily replaced using the socket wrench provided.
