These gears are enclosed in a cast-aluminum gearbox that contains an oil bath that provides continuous lubrication of gearbox components. The large diameter drum allows for increased wire rope life and increases travel distance. This model of winch can be driven by a drill with a maximum 300 RPM, giving you the ability to control the rate of descent and ascent without breaking a sweat.
