This is a full day, classroom based course.  This course will cover the history of the standards and explain how they apply to work in the field.  This course explains in detail how different rigging configurations effect the load that is placed on the tower. The student will have several opportunities to calculate the loads transferred to the structure based on sling angle and block angle. The class culminates in the creation of a Rigging Plan based on a set of given site requirements and conditions. 

A certificate of completion will be issued upon successful completion of the written exam. The Competent Rigger certificate is valid for two years from the date of issue.
