Traditional nylon slings are strong, sure. By Dyneema is stronger. Sterling Rope uses this tough, cut resistant material to make their 12mm slings lightweight, and very durable.

Sterling Dyneema Slings

These slings come in a variety of lengths, and can be used like traditional runners. We find that every crew likes to have a good selection in their work truck, because of their versatility. The different colors help to differentiate different sizes.

Sterling uses a special stitching design to sew the ends, which provides a very high MBS. In a straight pull, these suckers are rated to 23 kN. In a basket, they’re even stronger. Sterling also has 10 mm slings that are just as strong.

We’ve also covered other great gear from Sterling Rope, like their pocket hauler, HTP Static, and the versatile Aztek Elite kit. Head over to the Sterling Rope section to see it all.
